Thank You SR Peers, you keep me sober
 

Yesterday when I was driving home I had a few fleeting moments where my mind went into that dark place. That brooding, conniving thought process where I begin to plan my next deceitful jaunt into Alcoholic oblivion.

It was short lived though and I got home and wrote some posts here. As the responses came in from all of you I began to get a sense of unease. How could I possibly give in to temptation when so many here are rooting for me and would feel betrayed if I gave in so easily? Then a calming feeling came over me, A relieved sensation that I had a reason to abstain. There was no need to fight, the script was written and I was a part in the play.

I went headstrong into today with the knowledge that I have honor and integrity to uphold. There will be no falter, no malaise. Just a steadfast approach in the right direction, no cravings or thoughts. No ideas of deception without regards to the consequences. Just a straightforward path with no option but to continue onward.


How could I possibly do otherwise? You all deserve no less.
