Over a year sober, Exercise, and Reality! :)
Over a year sober, Exercise, and Reality! :)
Hey all!!!
Just wanted to check in and say hello Its been a bit since I posted anything, and just wanted to say all is well! Hit that sober year mark April 25th, 2012, and since then still rolling strong!
Started a new goal for this year. I decided it was time to pulverize some unwanted lbs that I accumulated over the years of drinking. Last year I got my mind back, this year I reclaim my body! It's going good, and theres no way I could have ever done this in the intoxicated mind set I used to hold.
I workout 6 days a week, and have not missed a day in 6 weeks. Dropped 25 lbs so far! I'm very dedicated to my health now. Eat extremely healthy, and exercise a lot! I'm doing that crazy "Insanity" thing you may have seen on TV. Lemmie tell ya... Its no joke hahaha.
other than that, nothing to new and exciting. Just still focusing on making a healthier more awesome me! Already wasted to many years drinking, and Im trying to reclaim them! Lifes to short to live intoxicated people!
Feel great! Alcohol is very much a thing of the past for me. Its been a little over a year since my last drink, and I'm not even looking back anymore. The whole "I miss drinking" factor does not exist for me. The way I feel now, the energy I hold, and who I am as a person today BY FAR supersedes any drink by a LONG SHOT! Hands down!!!
You know I woke up the other morning. Made a healthy breakfast, exercised, took care of some small things around the house, talked with some friends, and then I paused and realized something. I realized I accomplished more in the mere 4-5 hours that I had been awake that day than I ever did in an entire week drinking! Crazy really...
So if your reading this, and you are newly sober, take it from me. Life absolutely changes for the better when your sober. I can't promise you wont ever think about alcohol again because you will. But I can promise you if you stop, and take a moment to look at who you are sober (and really look!! not what others think of you, but how you THINK of you), it will absolutely come ahead of the drinking you every time. Trust me!
Alright that's it from me for now!
Stay strong!!!
