How far are the AA meetings? You live in Manchester? I find it hard to believe there aren't a lot of AA meetings there.

Did you lose custody of your children?

Dawnie,

Check out this huge meeting list for meetings in Manchester.

http://www.aa-gb.org.uk/northwest/ma...tings_list.pdf

They even have their own Manchester AA website:

Manchester AA Meetings

The only people I've ever seen recover from this deadly illness are those that are willing to go to any lengths for their recovery.

Put your money where your mouth is. No more excuses.

With love,

SIU

Hi Dawnie,

Have you tried ringing AA? Often they will send someone to see you so you can find out a bit more. Also these folks are great at solving the problem of how to get to meetings and still meet your other responsibilities, mainly because they've been there too and found a way out. It's worth the effort.

it's ok to just not want to go to AA, Dawn (I'm not in AA either). But I'm concerned that you're making excuses, that's all.
