Been a long time!
Been a long time!
Since I've been on these boards. Coming up on three years sober this June, still active in my original home group. This past year has been a mix of bitter and sweet. While my confidence in myself continues to grow, and I achieve things in work and education, I have to constantly remind myself that at the end of the day, I'm only able to do any of this because of God's Grace. Otherwise, it is reminded for me. Life in sobriety is sometimes hard, and this alcoholic still makes the same old mistakes, but I know what to do about them now. Even attending meetings, sponsoring women, and praying my rear off, I still find myself stuck in ruts some days. (I'm also 8 months pregnant, so that has a lot to do with my mood these days!) But I am here, I am sober, and I am grateful.
wb!
I love what you said about God's grace,
its quite humble...
for I usually give myself that
credit for staying alive...
and its only partially true.
good blessings with delivery of your new child

I remember my 3rd year, it was quite difficult.
You know in "How It Works" where it says "We stood at the turning point"... I've stood there a few times over the years.
Stay close to your sponsor and stay "on the beam" ... all will be well.
The 1st years is a gift... then the work starts !
Congrats on the baby !! Wife and I are doing grandbabies now ....
All the best.
