Please Pray for my Brother
Hey guys, I recently posted about a triumph I had Saturday night (chaired my first meeting) but I found out yesterday that something really bad happened the same night.
My brother was walking home from a bar after celebrating St. Pattys Day with his pals and he was hit by a car. The car never stopped to check if he was okay. Somehow he managed to survive with only a concussion and several scrapes/cuts/bruises. He is lucky he can still walk. He doesn't remember it at all because he was drinking of course.
I have reached out to him before about coming over to the sober side but he just isn't ready yet it seems. So I just wanted to ask everyone here to pray for him for a quick recovery and that maybe he will consider quit drinking. (all of my siblings drink but they don't feel that they have problems however I know better)

To Stop Drinking use can:
- Prevent or reduce health problems that are made worse by alcohol use, such as liver damage.
- Prevent harm to your unborn baby if you are pregnant.
- Reduce related family concerns or relationship problems.
- Increase your ability to be productive at work, school, and home.
- Reduce legal problems that you might have as a result of misuse of alcohol.
Praying for your brother Flyer. What a blessing that he survived the accident. Maybe it will serve a purpose. Maybe someday soon he'll be ready to admit it's becoming dangerous to continue on this way.
yes that is what we think, because im sure a sober/sane person would stop to help him.
Yes he said he is done for a while, he does believe that God gave him a second chance at life. (although I've been counting and its about his 3rd or 4th chance, lol)
I will be happy even if he cuts back his drinking, or if he doesn't go out places, just stay home if you wanna party. I don't know if he is an alcoholic or not, I do not live at home anymore so I cannot really analyze his behavior.

Thank you everyone. He is out of the hosptial he is on antibiotics and some pain medication. He has to be watched during sleep because of the concussion but he is improving slowly. He is very depressed about this entire thing and he promised me he would not party as much anymore, I hope he truly sticks to this. Like I said I don't really think he is alcoholic yet (he has the potential to become one) but I would rather not find out the hard way.
