Got Thrown Under the Bus At My Meeting Tonight
Cool deal!
"Simple but not easy; a price had to be paid. It meant destruction of self-centeredness. I must turn in all things to the Father of the Light who presides over us all." (1st Edition Alcoholics Anonymous; pg. 14)
When those fears crop up I have to ask God to remove them and direct my attention to what He would have me be. That's not always easy when your chairing a meeting of the most selfish, self-centered, judgmental people on the planet. My fears when chairing usually stem from silly stuff like this "what if they don't agree with me?" or "what if they laugh at me?" or "what if what if what if." God forbid someone in AA see how short I fall too, yanno? Heheh...So...what would He have me be? A trusting Agent...spearhead of His ever advancing creation.
