I think I just went a whole day without thinking about a drink

Until I looked at my bookmarks and saw this board, I did not even think about alcohol today. That's got to be some sort of first for me, this go round.

I remember the first time that happened to me! Great feeling, isn't it?

The best part is those days come more and more frequently as you continue in your recovery.

Good for you. I, too, remember very vividly the first time I didn't think of drinking. It was a milestone moment for me and my sobriety

Keep it up, those days will become frequent and wonderful.

Best to you.

Now, if I could just go a day without thinking about the thing I've been drinking over for so many years...

Great news . Think of all that time saved. So much to be free for.
Good luck for the future.

This is probably the first time that you will understand "The Grace of God".When you realize that you are not thinking of drinking or not drinking, that the problem has been removed...you must ask yourself "Who did that?".

Cheers,Steve

Yes, it's a real shift in thinking.

I had that happen for me too.

I realized after shopping that I never even thought about the booze aisle.

After a time, I realized, that I was not being driven by booze anymore.

A miracle.

Yes, I know I did not do this for myself. And it is an amazing thing.
