I was thinking today that quitting drinking is like changing your writing hand from your left to right or vise versa. The first time you try to quit it is like trying to write with your other hand, you can't even read the writing. Then, when you keep trying, it gets a bit more "legible" until one day you can get on SR and write your story.

I have said the same thing for years. And when the krap hits the fan I instinctively go back to the old hand.... for a minute instead of a month.
