Clean House

Avoiding liver failure, DUI, and divorce are all great! There are some smaller but equally pleasant benefits. One thing I like is I actually give a **** what my house looks, and smells like. Now it smells like scented oils, candles, and furniture polish. It use to smell like stale beer, cigarette smoke and ****.
It's not covered with beer cans, dirty ash trays, and pizza boxes. Hell I actually dust and mop now!!!
Any improvements at your place?

Me too! Dishes done, bathrooms always clean, it is so much nicer! Also, no more ugly days at work. Always time to get ready & wear makeup & a decent outfit, no gross "hat" days drunk & gagging in the bathroom while trying to sneak some more booze.

Still messy but no longer dirty. At times when deep into a binge, had to watch my step because of empties. Over flowing ashtrays, don't have that problem anymore as I smoke outside now. It's still early days for me. Thanks for bringing this up.

For me it is: dishes done., laundry done, house neat, dog hair vacuumed up, dogs teeth brushed, and bills all paid.

This is so easy to go to sleep with! A serene contented household. Love this feeling.

Great topic!

I had to call 9-1-1 this weekend after I caught a prowler trying to climb a fence into my neighbor's back yard. It was nice to invite the cops into a house that was perfectly clean, even at 8:30 on a Saturday morning.

Hell it's nice to have the cops in the house and not leave cuffed!

Awesome. It is amazing how a neat and organized home really has a positive effect on your psyche. Caring for your home can become a passion too (a healthy one!)

Many people fear AA. But the fact that those AA would definitely be the one to help them out and help them change their lives.
