IMO, good sponsor doesn't try to solve a sponsee's problems.... the main job I feel I have as a sponsor is to point the ppl I work with to the Power which CAN solve all their problems. I don't have to understand every nuance to convince you TO and teach you HOW to go to God.......
I don't want her to solve them, i want her to understand them.
