You can have as many as you want.

This is a support forum for people who want to stop drinking and find recovery. If you decide that is what you want, we will be here. Good luck.

Hi DrunkG

We're not a bunch of experts here - just a community of people recovering from alcoholism.

If you're a drinker like most of us here, the answer would be none.

If you're asking what moderate drinking guidelines are - I presume you're in the UK - you'll find some guidelines here

Drinking & You - what is Moderation?

do you identify yourself as someone with a drinking problem?

I think the poster meant is it's your call how many bottles you drink or don't drink, not ours.

If you want to stop drinking, why not start now?

Do see a Dr tho - especially if you're a regular drinker - detox can be rough for some of us

Here's the UK link for limits:

Recommended Safe Limits of Alcohol | Health | Patient UK

Normal people have no problem staying in bounds. If you can't do that then at minimum you have a problem with alcohol that you can't do anything about. Welcome to our little club.

anyone who's asking how much is enough, is not going to listen anyway. it means to you enough is when you had enough.

if you want to stop drinking completely but you don't think it's remotely possible to quit all the way, you have to figure it out.

we all did. no matter how many suggestions, good will thoughts and all that, everyone had to find their way to stop now or 10 yrs from now.

Are you trying to ween off of alcohol slowly? As opposed to cold-turkey?

One is too many, and a thousand are not enough.

(If you are like many of us here that is; it's an AA saying.)

Nobody here cares what you drink or how much of it you consume. This forum is for people who are trying to stay sober.

Hi DrunkG

i'm not sure what you want us to say. We can't tell you/advise you what to drink or even drink at all. If you are looking to quit you will get some great advice and support here

Then I predict you'll be back to SR seeking sobriety. Good luck.
