I'm back after 3 years...

It's been over three years since I've posted here. I'm back up to eight beers a day, everyday. I lost my job 2 1/2 years ago due to absences at work. Most of it was due to Bipolar Disorder. I am now on disability for Bipolar Disorder II. I've been through some major depression and now that I'm coming out of it I find myself drinking more. More moody and arguing with people in a chat room at night. I don't want to be that person, so here I am.

(((mamabin))) - welcome back!! I think it's a good start that you're aware you are not the person you want to be. First comes awareness, second comes action (or at least that's how it was for me).

Whatever else is going on, alcohol is not a performance enhancing drug. Being alone , the internet and drinking can lead to problems.

I am bipolar too. Are you speaking or are you going to talk to your doctor about your drinking? It is a recipe for disaster with bipolar and bipolar meds.

I self medicated with alcohol and it did not work!!
