Anxiety really bad and feels like it building

Hey everyone,
Having some crap going on, everyday normal crap that life throws at you sometimes. I've been doing pretty well since October aside from a minor slip up at Xmas.
Last week or so a few things have come up, financial and personal. Nothing major but on my mind a lot. What I've found the last couple of days is that my anxiety level is really getting bad. Almost to the level it was at the end of my drinking. I was taking Ativan at the end of it but haven't felt the need for any since then (last October).
I haven't been sleeping much and appetite is down. Trying to work it out, deep breathing, etc, but nothing seems to be working. I'm not thinking about drinking, definitley not an option anymore. But I did start wondering this afternoon where this could end up if I don't get this under control and thought that posting on here might help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi itstimetoquit

I'm sorry things are so stressful for you right now.
When my anxiety doesn't respond to the usual things that work, I usually see my Dr.

Exercise can work well to get out some of that excess energy.

Also my psychiatrist recently introduced me to meditation. Still trying to get the hang of it, but at the very least breathing & clearing your mind is relaxing.

Usually addressing things as they come up keeps anxiety at a minimum.

You are just beginning your recovery and you shouldn't expect too much, you will have highs and lows for a while. You will sleep and eat again, don't worry.

Wishing you the best.
