Starting again

I've been in and out of AA the last couple of years on and off and as I was told in the meetings, it doesn get pretty out there!! It's tougher and tougher going back to the meetings, but hey at least I'm trying.
I find living tough enough at the moment tho, I'm leaving things get on top of me at work, I'm kind of not facing up to that fact, brushing it under the carpet, it's getting quite bumpy though that carpet. It's a program of change I suppose but I feel starting in recovery (again) and giving it a proper shot is a job in itself.

I'm going to get help outside the meetings as well, need all the help i can get i reckon. Hey its not all doom and gloom, I didn pick up today and also I found soberrecovery, a place where i can say how it is. Whats this thread about, basically I'm asking are there any other alcoholics out there who find it difficult to apply themselves to their jobs or anything but recovery in the early stages.. Hope I made sense!!

My suggestion is get back to AA , thank GOD for it, and grab it with both hands.

One of the slogans in AA is "First things first"
When you get immersed in recovery you will find that the carpet bumps seem to take care of themselves.

Wishing you the best dill !!

Good decision, Dill. Things can get better for you from here, based on what you do in AA to make that happen.
