Ever had strange fast-forward thoughts after a drinking binge?

This has happened a couple times to me now. After a few successive nights of heavy drinking, I wake up in a state of not being awake but not being asleep lying in bed and pictures in my head are basically in fast forward moving as if they were being fast forwarded on a VCR.

Its pretty strange.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you heard of wet brain ??
I would highly recommend you "get with the program" ASAP.

It sounds quite frightening actually. I'm looking to get sober of course. I always am but I am an alcoholic and it is difficult.

Im thinking about visiting a doctor to get some kind of testing to see what kind of damage I've cause myself. Is it possible to schedule a brain and liver test with a walk in clinic?

Call the 'clinic' and ask.

You can ask if they will or can they help you with Detox. If not, then you really should talk with your Doctor and be 'honest' about your drinking.

I've had that. I didn't find it pleasant.

It can be difficult to get sober, but there's a lot of us alcoholics here who've done it.
Get some help emex

Don't let your alcoholism be an excuse to keep drinking.

You're absolutely right Dee. Man you really are a great person. I think every time I post on this site with my neediness, you're always there with positive input. Thanks!

And thank you too, Laurie and 2granddaughters!

Its just one of the many terrible symptoms of having so much alcohol in ur system. Take steps to stop drinking and it will be a thing of the past, just like a VCR
