Chemical free tomorrow!

Off all chemicals (Blood pressure meds, anxiety meds, Revia, ALCOHOL) as of tomorrow (not all at once just finishing my final tablet in the script for revia today).

Nothing much in this post, I just wanted to tell 'someone who cares' because it's kind of exciting for me, but not something I can go around telling my work colleges!

wooohooO!!!! Good to hear. I bet it feels awesome too!

I'm glad to hear you are off all that stuff. I'm a big believer in self healing (when appropriate), and its good to see people like you off unnecessary medication. One never knows when all hell could break lose in the world, and all of a sudden the medication some people believe they need to live is suddenly unavailable. Then what? Its a scary thought for some people, and that's why everyone should ween off most, if not all chemicals they have come to rely on. I personally believe some medication hurts us more than they actually heals us. But that's a whole different topic

So again, GOOD FOR YOU MY FRIEND! Fantastic job!

-Ryan

Hi Apoatenol, I made the decision with my doctor. I was only them for a set amount of time, and checked in with him often at the start. There was an option to stay on them for another two months, but I feel ready to do this on my own. I feel like I no longer needed it because my attitude to alcohol, or the way I think about it, has changed. But if I start having any problems at all, or begin to struggle I'll be right back to the doctor. Maybe not to go back on the Revia, but certainly to talk to him about it and come up with a new plan.
