An open mind is good, an informed mind is better for me. When I first came into recovery I wanted to understand this infliction I had with alcohol and dry goods. Just as if I has been diagnosed with, lets say diabetes, I would want to know as much about that illness as I could. I would look into all the treatment approaches, causes and therapies.
I do my best to make an informed decision with anything that is going to have significant impact on my life. Addiction treatment fit that bill.
