went to a party last night with a bunch of SAHM's that I don't know (someone I work with had a group of people over. mostly her neighbors). My kids are all under 5 and most of these women are a little older than me so their kids are tween age. They were feeling bad for me in the thick of it with chaotic very small children. They were all drinking and a couple of times they made jokes like

"That's why we drink so much!".
"You know my best survival tip? Lots of booze!"
"Here's a tip. Get the recipe for this martini!"

I just kept thinking "You know what's not funny? making jokes about alcoholic housewives to an alcoholic housewife"

But I didn't say anything.
