bruises

I am still drinking and trying to taper off but I was wondering if anyone knows how to deal with bruises I find it takes really long for me to heal and I know why but is there a way to help it along Thanks

See your doctor. We can't give medical advice here and it would be foolish to do so anyway. Please see your doctor.

I also bruise easily. I found if I ice the area immediately, it helps. Please do see your Doctor, as there may be another reason for your bruising.

Best Wishes To You!

Hi greeneyedhope

I also recommend seeing your Dr if you think you're taking a long time to heal - it's best to get those kind of things checked out, I think

I rarely get bruises these days - less falls
What are you doing for your recovery greeneyedhope?

There sure is. First stop drinking. Then see your doctor. The alcohol depletes a lot out of our systems including the B vitamins. You keep going and those 'bruises' will turn into open sores, sores that they used to call 'wine sores' that the homeless winos would have.

So go see your doctor, get off the booze and the bruises will dissipate.

Love and hugs,

Yes, one of the many perks of being sober is being bruise free!

Do go to a doctor though. I would request some blood work.

I never seem to bruise anymore. Hope you quit soon. The sooner you stop the sooner your body can heal
