Remembrance/Veterans/Armistice day
Salutes to all sober veterans of all countries, in any branch and of any war. It is the first time since Versailles that we can say it in the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the eleventh year. As we are of every time zone at SR, forgive my not making it in the eleventh hour! Maybe it still is somewhere!
Semper Fi, in my household for my 22 year sober Vietnam marine husband. Nothing describes him better.
Humble thanks to all of you men & women & Gratitude for our continuing sobriety.

Happy Veterans Day and a big thanks to all who have served, as well as those who still are. My dad and uncles are/were Vets (lost one uncle to cancer), have a cousin who is in Iraq. Also have many people here who have done their time, and I am most appreciative.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

I was lucky to find a family photo this year. It's a picture of my grandmother at age 20 which my grandfather carried with him during WWI. He wrote on the back, "My Constant Companion 1915-1918" and listed all the battles he fought in - Ypres, Somme, Vimy Ridge, Passendale to name a few. It's one of my most cherished possessions.

Simply beautiful, Anna. My great grandmother gave me the Atlanta Constitution of Armistice Day. Her brother came back and alas her only son did not come back fromWWII, but his cousin/my uncle did and died in 1978 with 30+ years sober!
