thank you everyone... it's an awesome feeling. It's taken daily work.. and just as the AA program promises... you will be amazed before you are halfway through. I truly try to practice the steps in all my affairs, and I even encouraged my sponsor this past week to work the steps on a particularly troubling issue.

It was also a blessing to be with my sponsor who lives in another state for the entire week. If ever there was a role model and someone to respect for a life earned and worked well, my sponsor is it.

I don't know that I've done anything particularly special... I simply followed the suggestions in the BB, worked daily on making myself the person I know I can be, and created a support network to help me remain honest with myself and smile with me through the hard times. I let God do His thing, and tried to stay out of my own way.

Thank you all for all of your sharing here... you are another facet of the support I've received and hopefully given as well.

Sunrise - Congrats!! I hit one year 2 months ago and know exactly the feeling and will never ever forget how impt this year of change has been. I do think that first year is one people never forget (like your first love)!! I think I fell in love with life once again and hope to never dig myself into the hole I was in for years.

So enjoy your first anniversary and many more to come!!
