Thanks freethinking Aegian and everyone. I'm back, with coffee in hand. Gatoraide and the like give me heartburn as does regular soda/OJ (not low acid, though)/iced tea, ect. I like my coffee/water/Diet Pepsi.
I snack on bananas everyday. Easy to find even in winter. .39 at Wal Mart too.
My back and calves are sore from shoveling out my house and then going to work and doing the same thing all over again. Today a day of rest.
Thanks again.

Welcome Rummy! You made the right choice, sounds like it was at breaking point. I gotta admit, I'm amazed that your not in the hospital right now... I couldn't do 3 day binges without a week of withdrawals, let alone years!!! You must be a strong person, and now you've decided not to take your health for granted anymore. GRATS.

Thanks GregMan. I'm not a strong person at all. The light-bulb went on on my head, and a new direction.
Painting my back bed room/server room now. Tomorrow I plan to get into the attic and run wire for a ceiling fan/light. I've owned the paint and fan kit for a year, but always had 'something else' to do.

It feels great to knock out those projects that have been sitting around for a while, doesn't it?
I held off for a few weeks because I was a home drinker and nothing would trigger me bigger than a 'reward' on a productive day. Then again, I 'rewarded' a non-productive day, a happy day, a meh day and the completion of critical missions like bringing in the mail and doing laundry. How sad is that!? It was not pretty in the beginning. I was just hoping for a cave to crawl into and escape for the first 2 weeks. After then, I was itching to get to of all the niggly things that needed my (overdue) attention. Even did the totally neurotic thing of adding things to the list after the fact just so I could write 'em down and cross 'em off. LOL
Felt awesome.
