those first few weeks are when we need the most help. That is why the focus seems to be about that. Recovery gets easier witj time so there are less posts.

Perfect practice makes perfect.

Thank you for posting and I hope someone keeps posting "Staying Sober" as a topic. The people coming in post about what getting sober and very early sobriety. For issues about staying sober I go to "The Fix" which seems to attract people with more time.

This is why it's important to have a program of recovery. SOME type of program, ANY type of program, nobody cares which program it is, but HAVE A PROGRAM AND FOLLOW IT!
I agree 100%. I have no problem staying sober because of the support and help of other alcoholics. And in going to three meetings per week I don't forget I'm an alcoholic (denial is perched on my shoulder doing push ups!). In every meeting someone "qualifies" (tells their story for about 20 minutes) followed by show of hands. It really helps me keep it green, remind me of how awful my life was, and instills gratitude for not drinking.

I don't know if you have a program but it's obvious you need to make a change somewhere.
