I've yet to meet an adult who shared how pleased and proud they were that they had drinking parents.

Please don't slide backwards.....

I sure hope you will find your way into a sober future...

Well I'll be 30 days on friday. I'm just not dealing well with the out of control whining that has been going on ALL DAY. A 3 yr old and a 2 yr old. Fun times, fun times....

I had 3 kids in 5 years and I was a stay at home Mom. Yes I remember how aggravating little ones can be...

What I did...we Mom's took turns in the mornings ...a few hours
we watched each others children thus they had play times and we got a break...

Is that something possible for you?

I do see you on the grats thread so I know you are moving forward...well done on your sober time...

I work two jobs, go to school and have the kids the rest of the time so it's kind of hard right now. I'm just jammed schedule wise. TBH, I don't know how I even really had time to drink like I did. I haven't had a cigarette in 4 years and I think to myself now 'how did I ever even afford it?'.

I love my boys but they drive me nuts sometimes. I guess I could always duct tape them to the wall or something...

No matter how crazy your kids are making you, having a drink will only make it worse.

I'd give anything to be you today. You have so much to teach them now. Thank goodness you are not drinking. Sit and play and teach them how wonderful books, toys, and real time with a parent can be! They need so much from you that you couldn't do if you were still drinking. Tomorrow is not promised. Today, you can relive a childhood with them.

I know 30 days is difficult, yet you've done it! Wow! What a miracle you are. Love those babies you helped conceive. Some people don't have that option today. Peace

I totally hear you! I love my girls to death but some days!

I did use them as an excuse for a long while. " damn the girls have stressed me out so much today. As soon as they are in bed I can unwind with a (case) of beer. I deserve it.

I do find that I am enjoying my life sober with them now and am able to handle the stressies much much better.

I keep thinking of in the long run....

Wish I was there to help you! I did help a young mom at a meeting one night. She hasn't called to ask for any help, but I sure wish to play again!

Aldorado; Can you journal some things for you to do to relieve your stress AT that moment? Those kids are young, but you can make it a game. Practice when you are feeling up!
