It happened today

I was having coffee and checking emails this morning at a coffee shop when a friend from my gym saw me and said how different I looked. I haven't been going to the gym, instead I have been running outside. He hasnt seen me since my drinking days. I am now 70 days sober, been eating much better and exercising regularly. I have dropped 30 pounds this year. That comment by him was just one example of how I am truly enjoying sobriety.

Great! Isn't it something to behold? I'm 75 daze and have lost 30 lbs through exercise, diet and deep sixing the drink. I feel better than I have in many years and experiencing something new which I think is called energy.

This is what it is all about for me too. I did not so much go out to get sober (I do admit I am alcoholic and booze was a major problem), I set out to get healthy and fit; Physically, mentally and spiritually. Sobriety and recovery was just a part of the bigger equation.

Congratulations on the 70 days and 30 lbs. You must really feel on top of the world. Keep kicking it.
