Use this as a poignant reminder that your headed in the wrong direction and change course while you still can.

Hangovers go away, sobriety can last a lifetime.

I'm sorry to hear your having a rough time Stewart. Drinking, will only make whatever is going on in your life worse. Please, put the alcohol down and seek some help.

Best Wishes To You!

Take some time and write down exactly how you feel. Be painfully detailed. Keep it and read it when you are thinking of taking that next drink. Sometimes we forget these moments. Look at it as a gift that will provide a lifelong lesson.

Looks like you've been posting for a while. You're always welcome here but frankly it doesn't seem to be enough to keep you sober. Are you ready to try something else?

Welcome back...sorry for your pain. You never have to go back out - we recover together. Take it one day at a time...don't take the first drink...think the drink thru i.e. the consequences and keep posting and reading. Have you considered AA for additional support?

Welcome back Stewart. Sorry that you are struggling.
It doesn't have to stay that way. Sobriety is possible, even if you feel defeated right now.
Maybe it's what it takes, defeated enough to get some help. Drinking will make everything worse, no matter how bad it is. Take care, and I wish you all the best,
Lionne
