14 Days So Far
14 Days So Far
I've made it 14days. Usually at this milestone and again at one month, the devil on my shoulder says, "C'Mon, you aren't an addict, have one drink, for old time's sake?"
Not today.
Not today.

Question is
How BIG would that ONE drink be?
There is a man at work, his screensaver shows two men at a pub, with beers...one man says to the other "Come on, let's just finish this one beer."
Each man was holding a beer glass that held 256 ounces of beer, literally...if you look at the picture, even has markings along the glass to show the levels.
HOW big, now THAT'S the question.
I hate that screensaver, by the way.

Yeah I was usually like that....couple weeks my liver must be going good now and back on I went. It wasn't until I hit a bottom that I didn't want a drink for the rest of my life that at 2 weeks and a month I didn't feel the urge to drink. It's been 83 days sober so far for me. My life is great now and getting better each and everyday.
congtraz on 14 days keep at it!

Congratulations! At two weeks, I began to have some hope that I could actually live sober. I still had those alcoholic thoughts in my head, though. It took months before I didn't hear them anymore.
So be patient and keep taking it one day at a time. If that insane thinking starts up again, just know it's coming from the old addiction version of you and you don't have to let those kind of thoughts dictate your actions anymore.
You can do it!
