8 years this next week
Next week marks the completion of my 8th year sober. It’s always a pleasure to revisit SR and read a few posts and see myself at the different stages of getting sorted.
Life has continued to get better, I’m back working hard and enjoying it and absolutely everything is improving still, even 8 years on.
Good luck and strength to those here who are setting out, and those who are thinking about the future in the way I did eight and a half or nine years ago.
And thanks to all the good folk here who kept me going while it was still hard.

Back again on the actual day ! Last year I forgot completely and it was the end of July when I called by to say hello.
Keep on buggering on everyone - one day at a time.

Too bad you can't spend more time here, sharing your ESH, and lending a helping hand to all the folks who are now where you were 8 years ago.....wondering how they'll ever get sober and MAKE IT to eight years.

Good point DT - I could always do more. Will make sure I check in more often.
There could be a section here for matching people up with online mentors or sponsors who they could then work with or communicate with as necessary. Just a thought.
