Fourth time trying to get this right.
Today is day one, I detoxed in February but fell off the wagon as alcoholics do. I have some medication the doctor gave me to safely detox and it worked like a charm last time so I think i'll be safe.
I never hit rock bottom but a family member was just diagnosed with stage 2 Breast cancer yesterday and for some reason, it gave me a bit of strength. She has to deal with this, and I will be helping her out a lot but figured it would be smarter to deal with it with a clear head (sober).
If she can deal with fighting cancer, then I can sure as hell deal with getting sober, finally. AA didn't work (I can't attend meetings due to my schedule). Does anyone know of any online meetings? Perhaps on this site? Any info would be much appreciated, thanks.
