It took me many years of sobriety to understand that nothing destroys relationships faster than expectations. I had a big resentment against my brother, he didn't do what I thought he should do as my brother. Everything changed the day I mentally said "screw him" and let him go. Quickly he became the brother I always wanted. I just let go my expectations of him.........
