OK, just a super-silly question...

Suppose you/we really DID know tomorrow was the end of the world... would you have a drink?

Everything about my recovery screams "no", but I really do wonder. I don't know that I wouldn't. I'd like to say I know I would not, but toasting the apocalypse seems strangely appropriate.

No - after a lifetime, I finally like my life as it's turned out, and I love who I am - why would I negate all my work and effort now?

I'd rather spend time with the people I love - no contest.

btw it's the 21st here and...nothing happened LOL.

I honestly don't know. If you asked me that question at about a year sober, I would have said "yes".

I wouldn't.If it really were judgment day tomorrow I would want a clear head to think with,and to be able to be there for my children.Alcohol would do nothing but make things worse.Always has.

Absolutely not. I can't imagine wanted to fill my last few hours drunk, when I could be sober. My life nearly ended from drinking - if I go out tomorrow in the Rapture, it won't be from booze! Cool thread though. Did get me thinking...it took me less than 10 seconds to decide.

Yes- I'm surprised at the money being generated at the sincere thought of the beginning of the end of the world tomorrow.

I'm pretty certain I'll still be here Sunday, and therefore, sober.

I thought about a Thread like this a while ago (unrelated to any of the end of the World stuff) but thought it would of been shut down.

I don't know. If I was with my family I would want to do whatever I could to protect them, and would want to do that sober.

The scenario I thought of was more like you are going to be executed. So you know later that day, or in a few minutes, you would die. In that case I prob would. Smoke too.

Guess I hope that if it came down to it, I would want to go out as strong as I've been living, so maybe I wouldn't.

I would not because I have come too far; I always thought I might get drunk during a tornado or something I didn’t want to deal with but I am stronger now. I would spend the last day with my family or riding a Harley, but no man knows this day.
