Just for fun: additions to the Serenity Prayer?
Just for fun: additions to the Serenity Prayer?
Okay, confession time for me
Occasionally, I think it's funny to add a fourth line to the prayer as we say it (to myself, of course...)... anyone else ever do this? For example:
"God, grant me the serenity to
accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference;
and the self-restraint not to choke my husband,
Just for today"

@Carol... that was just a for example... I've replaced that line with a million things:
"... and the attention span necessary for this meeting."
"... and please let me not visit the cookie table."
Just funny here and there, random probably ADD things that run through my head. I've always been told He has a sense of humor... hope he likes my brand :P

LOL, that's right up there with "sought through prayer and MEDICATION to improve our conscious contact with God"
