I recall feeling "off kilter" and just mentally off balance somehow. At the same time, I was finding something new about sobriety every day that made me wonder why I ever drank. I remember thinking 6 months was SOOOOOO far away.
Physically, I've lost a little weight, but that's probably because I'm paying more attention to what I'm eating these days, as well as extra vitamins for general well - being and for my skin.
As for my skin, it's hands down the clearest it has ever been in my adult life. I've been plagued with adult acne ever since I can remember; it's a GREAT affliction for someone who makes their living onstage [/sarcasm].\
I do take prescribed medicine for anxiety and depression; I take it exactly as prescribed, and I seem to be less jumpy and on edge now than when I first put the bottle down.
Thanks everyone for all the well wishes! You guys are definitely a big reason I can do this one day at a time, and I hope my occasional shares are helpful in return.
Together we can do it- one day at a time!
