Sleep Deprivation in Early Recovery

So here I am in day 16, thought I was doing pretty well, and because of some social commitments I found myself sleeping < 5 hours each of the last 2 nights. Whereas in day 14 I felt great, today feels more like a day# 2 or 3- extreme tremor, agitation, mood swings, inability to cope with other humans. has anyone else experienced this booze free for over two weeks? Is it the lack of sleep or my body reminding me it's still just early? Thoughts?

Lack of sleep does that for me anyway - even now
Try and get a good nights rest tonight

I think that you need to stabilize and stay on a good sleep, good food, schedule....your body doesn't heal instantly...you cannot withstand the extra *trauma* of getting overtired.

try to keep on a regular schedule for at least 6 nights a week and allow some unwind relaxation before bed....(i do crossword puzzles).

Thanks Carol but it was nothing like that....I actually worked until 1am both Friday and Saturday nights (as I often do; My job does not allow for a normal sleep cycle. had to be up at 6am for a child's activity Sat and 5am today to go to watch DW compete in a triathlon.

So it really was ONLY a lack of sleep x 2 nights which made me feel as if I was in my first 2 days sober. Tonite it's bedtime 9pm.....

Fandy I wish my job of 16 years would allow for that, but I do shift work and my shifts can and at 4pm, 6pm, 10pm, 3am, or 7am on any given day, with mo pattern
