Trust loss sucks.

I've got a nasty bug and I've had to call out the last couple of days. My boss is convinced that I have relapsed and has been particularly nasty about it .

That stinks, have you been to the Dr. for your sickness? Would a note from him/her possibly help? Trust takes sometime to rebuild, I'm still working on it with my wife. Good Luck! I hope you feel better soon.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Try to find strengh in yourself and realize that when you go to work you will be giving 100%. Not an active drinking 100%, but your best.

Im sorry your're not feeling well, but happy as hell that your boss is dead wrong!!!

I'm the girl that cried wolf too. Get a Dr's note. It will instill a little bit of trust and cover your a$$

Yes, the reality of not being trusted is very painful.

But, know that you are slowly building people's trust in you, through your actions.

And the best news is, YOU know the truth. That may not help with your job, but at least you are true to you :-) and in the end, that always wins. Keep going!

Don't worry...I found I was able to rebuild others trust in me the more (and the longer) I was worthy of that trust Chriss.

Get a Dr's note

Yes...getting medical assistance is a wise idea when you feel unwell
then take the verification into the office.

Hope you will feel better soon..

Waiting for others to regain trust in you requires a lot of patience, even then there is no guarantee it's ever going to happen. It sucks, but acceptance is the answer (at least that's what it says in the Big Book).

Without knowing what kind of person your boss is I don't know if this will help or not. I've found that being up-front with my boss has helped a lot; I addressed the fact that I have done my share of creating this mistrust and am willing to do whatever it takes to gain it back - including getting a doctor's note for every little illness and even phsyciatric appointments. Every absence is documented and excused by a medical professional of some sort just to keep everything on the up and up. Fortunately I have a boss who understands what it takes to start and follow-through on the recovery process. Good luck!

Dori, yes absolutely I have been completely up front. He knows I went through detox, ended up in the ER, and have been a model of busting my rear since. I have worked nights, weekends, etc.

Unfortunately it looks like I probably have mono.
