I know Noble- I kept forgetting too! All week I was like "Hey, you wanna hang out on Sunday? I have the day off." And everyone had something to do. I especially can't stand it when people complain about holidays! They ought to be grateful they have others people to be around. Although it isn't as bad as X-mas. Just lonely.

I spent my Easter working...now that I'm sober I miss being home on the holidays. I've worked almost every major holiday for the last 15+ years.
So I worked 14 hour shifts this Thurs, Sat., and Sunday...
I make it through sometimes telling my self "if you can’t be with the one you love, honey, love the one you’re with". Don't quite know what the composer of that song meant, but for me that line is what keeps me from getting upset about not being where I think I wanna be.
In any respect..first Easter without a hangover in a long long time!

Happy Easter Sleepie! I used to be so sad on the Holidays, so I can relate. I've accepted that for NOW I will be alone. I used to mope around and feel sorry for myself. It's not fun to have no friends or family around.
I decided the only way to get through these times is to give to others. By doing that, I feel pride and satisfaction in myself. It makes me feel good! I'm with people and I'm not sitting around dwelling on "poor me". There are a lot of people who have it much worse than me. When I opened my eyes, and looked around, I learned to be grateful for the gifts I have. No matter how little!
Treat yourself special on the Holidays, because you are special Sleepie! One of a kind, just like me. You have gifts no one else has! Everyone here on earth has a purpose.
This is the best advice I have hun. Its what worked for me, I hope in some small way I helped you see a different perspective. I wish you joy and peace always.
