On the flip side
Sober Saturday mornings are SO GREAT! I watched a show I had on DVR, got some laundry done, drinking coffee and already talked to my sponsor. ZERO panic, sickness, anxiety. I dont have to check my sent emails, call log or text messages. I really dont want to lose this feeling.
Im going to OKC today to see my hubby. The house we have there is RIGHT next to bricktown i.e. major music, drinking, partying. I do not want to drink!! My sponsor said to have a back up plan. Funny thing..when i was drinking I ALWAYS had a plan to get out of functions and/or situations so I could get back home and drink. Now I have to get in my right mind to not drink.

Sober Saturday mornings are a wonderful way to start the weekend!
Your sponsor shared some good advice. Having a plan in place before temptation is in front of us makes it easier to face.
I hope you have a great time.

Waking up instead of coming to was a whole new sensation for me--and I started getting up earlier just to see what I'd missed. The animals waking up, the peaceful mornings, the sunrising and the birds stirring. Amazing what I missed when I was nursing my disease...
Thanks for the gratitude.

Is rehab a logistical possibility for you? If you can swing it, certainly it might be worth it. I went a couple of times, many years ago, and found it tough but fruitful. It can be of huge help to have a safe space to work thru the stuff that's grinding you down and lay down a foundation for life going forward.

Wow, a 180 degree turn around in a day. I am guessing your visit to Oklahoma City led to drinking. Would have suggested a back up plan of finding meetings had i seen this yesterday. And carrying some phone numbers with you, and of course, your BB.
Rehab is not a bad thing to do, but you still have to be willing. Nothing will help you until you are ready to accept that help whole heartedly.
I hope you find your answer.
