temptation

I'm on day 6 right now and I'm really tempted to go to the shop and buy a big bottle of cider and a couple of beers....

But I know it would result in upsetting my parents which I don't want to do.

I had major cravings a couple of nights ago and almost walked down the road for booze but turned back.
I had gone 8 days until last Friday when I had a blow out....which I got hell for from my parents.

I must keep going. On a positive note I got myself a new guitar today:a122:

Keep looking for support HS - that really turned things around for me....if SR's not enough look for some face to face support perhaps?

Ok so I gave in and drank the cider and beer....

i don't think i'm in that much trouble....yet anyway.

well, i'll keep trying.

I'm not surprised you gave in HS.
I spent years trying, but not actually doing much.

There's help out there if you want it, man.

What kind of guitar did you get and what sort of music do you play?

Do you have a plan to get you back on track with sobriety?
Not drinking is the way to improve all areas
of your life and your future...:yup:

Walkertall, I have a Freshman acoustic which is my new one, I also own an Almansa spanish guitar and a Fender strat.
I like playing stuff like the beatles, hendrix, bowie and some heavier rock stuff, I like trying to make up my own music too.

Anyway, no plan for the sobriety yet just try to avoid alcohol, I kind of don't like the idea of going to AA.

I wasn't to keen on the idea of AA either but I knew that "not drinking" wasntd something I could just do. So I spent a lot of time figuring out and working my own program. Which I am happy to say is successful so far. But I work at it...a lot! AA is probably easier because the plan is all figured out for you.

The thing is you need to do something more than you are right now. Why not try AA....if you don't like it you can try something else.
