Thanks to all those people who replied with kindness a good wishes
I posted my first post here the other day, and was really amazed at the positive, and kind responses.
Thankyou one and all. I will try and beat my addiction. I used to think that drinking and taking drugs was a way of freeing myself from my mind and opening it up.
For a while it was. Now they enslave me.
Knowing it is one thing, but doing something about it, is really tough.

I'm so glad you came back..
Many of us are winning over alcohol and drugs
and Yes! so can you.
Are you planning to check out the local resource sggested by your doctor?
That could be a good starting point for you.
Me? I do use AA for my sucessful recovery but there are various other ways.
Please keep posting with us..we offer information and support to anyone
interested in finding a better future...

3 weeks for me today, it is the best feeling. I feel free
Knowing it is one thing, but doing something about it, is really tough.
You may even surprise yourself and find that once you get over the initial quit, things start getting better and better just like everyone here says.
Remember - you're worth it! :ghug3
