Hi Singerchic-
Once I quit the alcohol was removed, but the bigger problem surfaced as I was now left with me.
...and since I was my whole problem the whole time, I needed help outside of my own sick, twisted mind. I simply couldn't "outthink" or "outlast" my own alcoholism.
I needed a program or recovery. One that would remove the obession to drink and give me a design for living without alcohol and one that would allow me to be comfortable (and even to *gasp, like) me.
AA did that and more.
...but I'm not special. It can work for you too.
