good news!

Today is my seventh day! Made it through the withdrawal, St Patrick's Day, and the weekend without a drink! WooHoo.

I feel so much better physically, and a lot less guilty. I had a little depression yesterday, but i always get the "blahs" on Sunday - due to the work week ahead. I just accepted it and knew I would get through it.

I want to thank all on here - I read these forums all the time and they really make a difference!!!

Congratulations! It only gets better if you don't drink.
I had to re-learn life, and it is so much better now that I have.
You can do it, too. Seek support, do whatever it takes to stay sober. You won't regret it.

Congratulations! I am on day 4 and really wanted to drink today. I never regret not having a drink...It sounds like you have no regrets about not drinking this week.

Congratulations and welcome to SR Nicko - So glad you are feeling better!
It isn't always easy as you have noted, but I agree it does keep getting better and better as the weeks go by and we stay sober. Keep it up!
