^_^; 60...!!
Tonight marked day 60 for me!!! Never in a million years did I think I could do it. As some of you know, I have not been going to AA because of issues from the past and the whole praying bit, etc. I would have never made it as long as I have without the support from here. Even though I'm not a frequent poster, I am a frequent lurker. And especially to those who directed me towards SMART. I have a Psych degree and have used CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for other things in my life but it never dawned on me to use it with my drinking. The once every...3 or 4 days I get a craving now, I can actually sit back and question why in the world I want it. Then work step by step and actually STOP and THINK what will this do, what good will come, what bad will come, what will I get out of this tomorrow and thusfar it's proven effective.
Anyways I just wanted to thank you all for the awesome support this has been thusfar and here's to many, many more days, months and years of sobriety!
