My friend had a replapse
A new friend had a relapse 18 months ago after 7 years of sobriety. He's just decided to quit drinking again. I'm not sure how much he drinks, but I'd say it's daily and at least a 6 pack, more on weekends.
My question is, what could he expect in terms of withdrawal/detoxing? I can't remember my first few weeks, except for the insomnia and mental confusion/fog.

Hi TigerLiLi,
My detox was extremely painful and a scary experience when I would do them without medical supervision. Everyone is different but lots of people have posted some of what they went through here:

Good luck to your friend

Please urge your friend to ask his/her doctor for the safest
way to begin de toxing.
There are just too many factors to be considered to know what
will happen for certain....
The link above has info too...note that not everyone had the same symptoms.
Hope this helps...
