New Tattoo
I absolutely love it! I have one on the side of my foot too, although mine is on the arch. Mine is a word that inspires me, "brilliance." Foot tattoos are quite painful! It was my first, and so far my only.
When I was younger (before things started wrinkling and sagging) I made it a point only to get tats on parts of my body that were less likely to wrinkle or sag.
I have armbands (Celtic running dogs and a music score in memory of my father), an entwined fish tat on my inner right knee - story too long to go into - your basic biker rose on my right shoulder and Celtic knot work with a turtle on my lower back.
I love the idea of getting one to celebrate a sobriety milestone. I love the permanence of tattoos.

I got my one & only tattoo at 47. I got an OM symbol on the inside of my right ankle. I wanted it somewhere I could always see it. (Also somewhere that probably wouldn't sag later!) It keeps me centered & reminds me to not let life run me.
Nice work!
This, on my right arm, represents Sarpashana... Sanskrit for Poison Eater...The peacock is renowned as a snake fighter, and there's a Hindu fable that says the peacock can turn poison to medicine...it felt appropriate...
