NA beer comes up a lot in this forum. There are lots of opinions on each side. I was a wino and I can only say that I have no desire for an ersatz wine....I never drank like a connaisseur, I drank to get numb, so fake wine wouldn't get it.

I have never tried it. It seems to me that it might trigger a desire for the real thing.

I think it is not a good idea.

I find drinking healthy things like juice, or water is just fine.

I do enjoy my morning coffee as well.

My advice is don't go there.

On top o that you WILL be throwing away more than your seven wks, and those things you could sit down and reel off all day, and still couldnt list them all. The plus's to be had from staying sober are far greater than those you THINK you can have if you drink.

Welcome to SR, you are doing well, just keep going.

All the best :-)

Yes. i was at a brass band contest and went to the pub after performing. Everyone from the band was drinking and i felt left out. Thought about having a non alchoholic lager but went for an orange, safe in the house now!!!

good choice IMO....especially if you're struggling a little right now.

I was a beer drinker - I tried NA beers to moderate...it never worked....I always moved on to the 'hard' stuff.

It's all about behaviours for me - it looks like beer, smells like beer, tastes like beer (but never in a good way in my experience) comes in a can like beer...

Whenever I think about a NA beer, I have to ask myself, why not 7up?

D
