New here, many questions.
I can agree with ZZ about thinking that needing a substance to have fun isn't normal. When you put it out there like that, it doesn't sound normal.
But look around at MOST people you know. How many guys don't drink during the game? How many girls don't enjoy a glass of wine with their girlfriends.
The fact of the matter is that this is a non issue, UNLESS you have a problem.
I do agree for those of us who have a problem, that we have to change our way of thinking, and that takes work. LOTS of work lol.
Where God closes one door, another one opens!!!!!!!

Agreed Julez. My wife drinks, although out of sensitivity for me, she doesn't keep it in the house. Just at restaurants / events etc.
Once I asked her how she felt about alcohol, and she said that, while it was nice, she could take it or leave it. It was an option. I never understood that way of thinking, because for me, once you introduced alcohol into an event, the alcohol BECAME the event. Now that it's out of the picture, I enjoy the events for what they are.
Most of our friends and family are actually Baptists and Methodists so drinking is just not a part of our culture. At games or parties or anything. My wife and I are black sheep in this regard.
