I see every sober day as a success.

I kind of see sobriety as a road trip. If I leave the east coast on my way to California and have a blowout in Ohio, I don't start back from the east coast. I fix my tire and continue the trip. I feel the same about relapse. Use it, see what caused it, and fix it so you don't do it again. And continue on your trip.

Sleepie..

If it helps you to come here and post, do it. If someone posts something you don't like,
ignore it rather then engage it.

Sugah had some wonderful words of wisdom, that seem spot on for what you are struggling with.

I am an alcoholic, I always want the quick fix.

I didn't become an alcoholic overnight.

I won't and didn't become the person I want to be in sobriety overnight. It took time, it takes time. Time, and action on my part.

My weight too has been an issue in early sobriety.

I comfort myself with the thought that, today, I am sober. Today I may weigh more then I have in the past, but, I am sober. Each 24 period I remain sober is a gift.

So, I don't drink, and follow the path laid before me on this journey known as life.

For that, I am grateful.
