Does autopilot work?
Does autopilot work?
Not to say I am on autopilot. I have been sober for a few years now and very thankful yo AA the fellowship SR. The thing is I feel things are going well. I am home all week with my 3 year old daughter and that is wonderful. My wife travels weekly which allow me the opportunity to spend time together. Is it normal to have wonder or concern that it just can't be this good forever? I think maybe it is just do the right things stay involved with meetings and my sponsor and my life is manageable. I still have trouble getting out of my own head at times still.

When I used to fly private planes...we always kept a
vigilant eye on the flight path...in case the auto piolet
glitched.
Seems to me you are doing that too...so I expect you
won't crash and burn as you continue your journey.
Blessings to the 3 of you..

I don't like thinking along the lines of "forever". When I do, it starts to work against me and I begin to doubt myself.
I've had people ask me, are you done drinking "forever"? I truthfully answer, "I don't know but one thing I do know, I am not drinking today."

Ahhhhhh, do I relate to your post! We're sober today and we feel what we feel today. That's all we have and we should be grateful for it. No one can predict the future and it's best to keep your head in today instead and feel gratitude for everything you have ... your life, your health, mind, sobriety, home, son, marriage, job .... etc.
But no, nothing stays the same.
