5 months here and some thoughts

yay for me!! lol

If you are struggling to find it rewarding to quit early on and finding a good reason to quit rest assured you'll find that peace of mind and body as time goes by. The ill thoughts pass like getting over a cold or the flu and soon enough you'll find yourself not even thinking about it.

Tonight, about 20 minutes ago I got home and turned on Willie Nelson's song "Always On My Mind." I think it reminds me of my dad who passed 20 years ago who I never really got to know and miss to this day. But once I turned the song on I immediately sensed a really good feeling of having a drink like in the past before I abused. A tall cold beer with nice music playing... that was nice.

It's these memories that I want to remember.

keep sober and if you aren't please do all you can to get sober, because the less bad experiences we have the more we can enjoy the memories of past times, safely now, sober.

Congrats tooling! I fondly recall my pre-drinking days when I was able to take it or leave it alone and NEVER thought about it. These days I just leave it alone.

Congratulations on 5 months! Doesn't it feel good to KNOW you'll feel good when you wake up in the morning?

Tooling, pure curiosity- are you following a program or method?
