littlestranger became Lionne/ name change
Hello everybody,
A very happy new year to you all, I 2011 hope it will be a good one for all of you!
I decided to start the new year by making a change in my username (Thank you so much Anna for the quick reply!)
When I joined SR as litttlestranger, I was just 4 months sober, and felt lost, anxious and had barely any self esteem. Although the name littlestranger was inspired from a line from a song, I wasn't aware at that point how well it expressed the state I was in.
But now for some time, I feltl like that username didn't suit me anymore. I m' not little, and not a stranger here anymore either. I put some thought into it, and this is why I chose Lionne, the french word for Lioness:
To me it represents something female and strong, and also someone who not only takes strenght from herself but also strenght from the group she is part of. Plus, I'm a leo, and I'm multilingual, so the french word fits that part of me.
Changing my old username was a way to express the progress in my sober journey and the positive changes I've been going through in the last year and a half. I'll still keep my old avatar, as I like it and I don't want to create any confusion.
Have a great sober day,
Lionne
